Maria G. Fuentes, Director

Mrs. Maria Fuentes is the owner and director of Cataleya & Friends Daycare and has been dedicated to serving children and families in Oklahoma City since 2013. Through her leadership, commitment, and passion for early childhood education, she has successfully grown Cataleya & Friends Daycare into a trusted childcare center focused on quality care, faith-inspired learning, and bilingual experiences.

Mrs. Fuentes brings a strong background in childcare, education, administration, and healthcare management to her role as director. Her professional experience includes positions within the healthcare field as a Patient Accounts Representative and Office Manager for healthcare system providers. Her administrative and organizational experience has helped establish a structured, professional, and family-centered environment at Cataleya & Friends Daycare.

In addition to her healthcare experience, Mrs. Fuentes has worked directly in early childhood education and family support services. She previously served as an Oklahoma Parents Teachers Coordinator and Administrative Assistant at a respected childcare center, where she developed a strong passion for supporting children and families during the critical early stages of childhood development.

On May 23, 2015, Mrs. Fuentes earned her Child Development Associate (CDA) Credential and Oklahoma Director’s Credential (ODC), further strengthening her commitment to maintaining high standards in childcare and early childhood education.

Mrs. Fuentes holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Health Information Management with minors in Administrative Allied Health Services and Spanish from Southwestern Oklahoma State University in Weatherford, Oklahoma.
